LA PLATA, Maryland — The European Commission’s attempt to rush through an EU Space Law this year has fallen short, with the likelihood that the law will not clear the approval process until sometime in 2025.
The Commission’s concern was that 11 of the EU’s 27 member states already have their own space laws, with more to follow. That argued for a common legal regime buttressing an EU Single Market for space activities.
