PARIS — European Commission officials added some precision to the structure and schedule of their proposed secure communications satellite constellation and were cautioned that EU government will not sign a blank check for it.
The Commission expects to submit to the European Parliament and the European Council in early 2022 a proposal to modify the current Space Regulation to include a secure connectivity project even if its precise outline and cost are not known by then.
