PARIS — The European Commission is asking individual EU member states and European industry for a detailed assessment of how the Commission’s secure connectivity satellite system can be procured and financed.
The goal of the “Preliminary Market Consultation” is also designed to guide the 22-nation European Space Agency (ESA) — an expected program contributor — as ESA assembles its mid-term budget for approval at a November meeting of its government ministers.
