BRUSSELS — European Commission officials promised the space sector they’d work for a large increase in the Commission’s space budget but that a needed “Big Bang” in Europe’s space ecosystem also means national space agencies reducing wasteful spending on overlapping projects.
Addressing the European Space Conference here Jan. 28, organized by Business Bridge Europe, European government and industry officials painted a dire picture of Europe’s industry.
