PARIS — An EchoStar Corp. no longer under the cloud of whether it can remain a “going concern” will now be free to pursue investments in its Hughes broadband segment and using its global rights to S-band radio spectrum, EchoStar officials said Nov. 12.
In an investor call, Chief Executive Hamid Akhavan said the company’s S-band assets are strong enough on their own that the company has no need of joining the Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA), a partnership of companies looking to capture the global direct . . .
