PARIS — Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’s planned acquisitions of satellite ground network providers Gilat Satellite Networks of Israel and UHP Networks of Canada are both on hold pending approval by Russian regulators.
How long the wait will be is unclear. Comtech Chief Operating Officer Michael D. Porcelain said that depending on how Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service rules, a final go-ahead on the Gilat transaction may require the approval of the chairman of the Russian Government Commission for Supervising Foreign Investments.
