PARIS — Satellite fleet operator AsiaSat, bowing to market realities in South East Asia, is adding an IP platform to its portfolio to capture business beyond the traditional DTH model.
Hong Kong-based AsiaSat, whose chief executive, Andrew Jordan, has insisted that linear television distribution has a long, bright future in emerging markets, said a hybrid satellite/Over-the-Top (OTT) model is best-suited for today’s market.
