LA PLATA, Maryland — CACI International said it is continuing to invest in expanding its optical satellite communications business on the assumption that demand from commercial satellite constellations and the U.S. government will increase sharply in the coming 2-3 years.
The company has built a second optical production facility in Florida and has developed relationships with the main satellite prime contractors to expand from bespoke optical terminals for large geostationary-orbit satellites and cislunar missions to the much larger market of satellite constellations in low Earth orbit.
