Astroscale: Near-term market for on-orbit servicing, satellite life extension is military, and we’re pivoting to capture it

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Space debris removal and satellite life-extension service provider Astroscale Holdings, reflecting a trend washing through much of the space economy, said it is finding the defense market more promising than the commercial market.

The company has a contract with the U.S. Space Force for a life-extension mission and has entered partnerships with Mitsubishi Electric in Japan and Airbus Defence and Space in Britain with military customers in mind.
