PARIS — Satellite direct-to-smartphone broadband service startup AST SpaceMobile disappointed investors in a March 31 investor call and financial report, reporting no solid evidence that its experimental satellite, launched six and one-half months ago, is capable of delivering broadband connectivity.
The company said testing on the BlueWalker 3 satellite was continuing and that it would let its mobile network operator partners decide on the best moment to demonstrate clear results.
