PARIS — European Commissioner Thierry Breton, assuming the position of a department-store Santa, asked European NewSpace startups what they wanted from the Commission’s new space program and was told: pretty much all of it.
Breton’s June 14 session with a half-dozen startup companies — some planning constellations, others focusing on constellation operations, still others focused on launch services or satellite delivery — was ostensibly about the Commission’s secure communications constellation idea.
