PARIS — Satellite fleet operator AsiaSat, in what has become a rare event among FSS operators, on March 23 reported increased revenue and pretax profit for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2017.
With its new AsiaSat-9 satellite entering service last November and its total fleet fill rate up despite the newly available capacity, AsiaSat said its three-year outlook is for stable video and data business.
The 2018 results also should be buoyed by the recent lease of the AsiaSat-4 satellite to China Great Wall Industry Corp . . .
