SINGAPORE — Kacific Broadband Satellites Corp., which sells satellite broadband service to a large swath of the Pacific region, has shelved its long-planned Kacific 2 satellite as it reviews its financing and has repositioned its retail business away from enterprises and toward government-funded projects.
Singapore-based Kacific’s chief commercial officer, Brandon Seir, said Kacific 2, which has been on the company’s drawing boards for at least four years, is still penciled in for a 2027 launch, but that appears unlikely.
