LA PLATA, Maryland — Airbus has increased by 50%, to 600 million euros ($645 million) the charges it is taking against its 2024 earnings following the discovery of additional schedule and commercial risks in its space division.
The principal issue remains Airbus’s OneSat software-defined satellite product, which was introduced in mid-2019. Nine orders have been booked, but none yet delivered as Airbus grapples with undisclosed issues that have pushed up the estimated costs in addition to delaying deliveries.
