SINGAPORE — The East Asian geospatial-imagery market, long viewed as fertile terrain for manufacturers of optical and radar observation satellites, may be reawakening with the confirmation of a two-satellite Theos-2 system by Thailand and a high-resolution radar satellite ordered by Singapore.
As expected, Thailand’s Geo-Information and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) has ordered a two-satellite Theos-2 system, with a 50-centimeter-resolution optical satellite to be built by Airbus Defence and Space and a 100-kilogram or lighter spacecraft to be assembled and built in Thailand . . .
