PARIS— Satellite fleet operator Eutelsat has purchased more flights from Europe’s Arianespace than any other commercial company, and more telecommunications satellites from Europe’s two prime contractors.
But as a publicly traded commercial company, Eutelsat has fiduciary obligations — value for money — that sometimes take it beyond Europe’s borders in search of launches — for satellites, less so.
