PARIS — The four most-established sellers of geospatial imagery — Airbus Defence and Space, Maxar Technologies, MDA Corp. and e-Geos — and one startup, BlackSky, agreed that the end state of the industry is a consolidation into a few companies offering data from multiple sensors such as optical, radar, RF and hyper spectral.
They disagreed on whether consolidation would happen soon. Some said the huge amount of cash recently invested into startups from SPAC-enable stock-market introductions could be a catalyst. Others said . . .
