PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Eutelsat said it was confident in its long-term strategic focus on broadband deployment and limiting the decline in its core DTH broadcast business, but that a consolidation would be good for the satellite broadcast industry.
Eutelsat pointed to recent wholesale agreements for Ka-band broadband capacity covering Spain and Portugal, France and Italy, with a distribution agreement in Germany, as proof that its Eutelsat Konnect and future Konnect VHTS satellites have gained traction.
