PARIS — Europe’s space-launch sector has several ways to talk to its governments about the evolution of a global commercial market it used to dominate.
One is by appealing to Euro-patriotism to direct their government satellites to European rockets.
Another way is to scare the bejeebers out of them. Marino Fragnito, head of Arianespace’s light-lift Vega program, selected this option in an Oct. 13 presentation to the European Space Agency’s phi week, in a session on small-launch opportunities.
