PARIS — Any hope that the Covid pandemic would put enough pressure on satellite service providers to force a consolidation of the industry is likely to be disappointed as company after company reports that its business has not suffered all that much.

In recent weeks, multiple industry conferences have featured satellite operator presentations that show declines in aero or maritime mobility business offset, or nearly so, by increases in government-sponsored broadband demand.

Even in the badly hit maritime sector, service providers have said it’s just the cruise-line . . .
