PARIS — SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband network has signed “two quite significant partnerships with major-country telcos” for Starlink operations in their territories and expects Starlink’s global subscriber count to reach “a few hundred thousand, possibly over 500,000, users within 12 months,” SpaceX Chairman Elon Musk said June 29.
Musk recently announced that it had reached what he called “the strategically notable number of 69,420 active users.” He said the service is operational in “about 12 countries, with more being added every month.”
