PARIS — Delta Air Lines selected Viasat Inc.’s Ka-band in-flight-connectivity service for 300 narrow-body jets that will be in service starting this summer, with an option to add more planes to the deal.
It was the latest in a series of steps by the U.S.-based airline to move away from its Gogo Inc. 2Ku system and toward what Delta said is the higher-performance Viasat Ka-band as Delta eyes a future free-Wi-Fi policy.
