PARIS — Italian civil and military space authorities signed an approximately 200-million-euro ($243 million) contract with satellite builder Thales Alenia Space and ground-segment provider Telespazio for two Cosmo-SkyMed second-generation (CSG) radar Earth observation satellites.
The satellites are scheduled for launch aboard Vega-C rockets in early 2024 and early 2025. The launches will be contracted separately.
