PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Telesat said the Covid-19 collapse of the aeronautical and maritime connectivity business could delay what the company had hoped would be significant customer pre-commitments to Telesat's LEO constellation of broadband satellites in low Earth orbit.
Canada-based Telesat booked a bad-debt provision in the three months ending March 31 because one of its aero and maritime customers is confronting financial stress. The company did not name the customer, but it sounded like Global Eagle Entertainment.
