LUXEMBOURG — Satellite operator SES, now in open conflict with Intelsat over the division of C-band clearing proceeds from a prospective FCC-managed auction, asked the agency to reject Intelsat’s claim for a larger share as a last-ditch move by a “disgruntled, financially troubled” company.
Intelsat’s financial condition should have no bearing on the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) treatment of the C-band clearing process, SES said.
