SES did not provide detailed revenue for its O3b medium-Earth orbit (MEO) satellite constellation, but said U.S. military users are adding O3b to their previously GEO-only SES contracts. The first three O3b satellites, which suffered an on-orbit defect for which an insurance claim was paid, have been placed into retirement but can be returned to service if needed. Eight more O3b satellites are on order from prime contractor Thales Alenia Space.
