PARIS — Telesat said its two shareholders, which for years have been squabbling over how to monetize their interests in the fleet operator, have endorsed Telesat’s multibillion-dollar LEO broadband satellite constellation project and the capex that goes with it.
Telesat Chief Executive Daniel S. Goldberg, in an Aug. 2 conference call with investors, declined to estimate how much the LEO development would cost, saying he preferred to wait until two competing nine-month system-design reviews are completed in early 2019.
