PARIS — Fleet operator AsiaSat’s revenue grew 6.5% in 2018, with higher satellite fills rates and said 2019 also looks good as Asian demand for television, including HD broadcasting, continues to grow.
The performance counters the generally sour results of fixed satellite service operators around the world, including Asia, as overcapacity continues as a drag on transponder-lease pricing and some customers move to internet-delivered video services.
