French government: Off-course Ariane 5 flight posed no danger to town; launches resume in March

PARIS — Launch-service provider Arianespace on Feb. 23 said its heavy-lift Ariane 5 rocket would return to flight in March following an independent board of inquiry’s assessment of why the vehicle’s Jan. 25 flight went badly off course.

As of late Feb. 23, the European Space Agency, which established the inquiry board, had issued no statement on the subject. Agency officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the board's findings and recommendations.
