2ND UPDATE OCT. 30: PARIS — Satellite fleet operator ABS on Oct. 30 said company Chairman Jim Frownfelter will become interim CEO, to replace Tom Choi, who is resigning his post to pursue other interests but remains a major ABS investor and board member.
ABS and its principal owner, private-equity investor Permira, have begun a search for a new CEO and would make an announcement “in the near future.”
One industry official said the choice of a successor to Choi had already been made.
