LA PLATA, Maryland — Only a merger of all the space activities of Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space and Leonardo - except for launchers — will accomplish the companies’ goal of reducing their individual exposure to space market risks and competing in emerging markets including commercial space stations, a European consulting company that advises labor unions has concluded.
