LA PLATA, Maryland — Mobile satellite communications antenna builder C-Com Satellite Systems of Canada, struggling to develop an electronically steered flat-panel antenna to operate with GEO, MEO and LEO satellites, suspended its stock dividend for the first time in more than four years to divert cash to bringing the product to market.
Ottawa-based C-Com said it now expects a 1K first version of the Ka-band antenna to be on the market in late 2025, with a more-robust 4K antenna available commercially in early 2026.
