TUPPER LAKE, NY — Satellite ground antenna manufacturer Hanwha Phasor of Britain and the United States, which has struggled for years to introduce a product but recently promised an electronically steered unit in early 2025, is shutting down operations, according to industry officials and a company memo to employees.
The employee memo, dated Dec. 10, cited “a change in [parent company] Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Aerospace’s strategic direction and the revised market forecast for satellite communications” as prompting the decision. "We are very sorry," it said.
