LA PLATA, Maryland — SpaceX’s Starlink broadband service will begin offering service-level agreements (SLAs) to maritime customers and perhaps other markets in early 2025, removing a key sales argument used by Starlink competitors, industry officials said.
It remains unclear whether the Starlink SLA will match the service-level guarantees, often accompanied by a Committed Information Rate (CIR) that have been provided by heritage satcom providers for years.
