LA PLATA, Maryland — Airbus Chief Executive Guillaume Faury said he’s willing to accept a merger of only part of the company’s Space Division if a larger deal cannot be concluded.
Acknowledging the political and industrial opposition to what industry officials say have been talks on a joint venture with Franco-Italian rival Thales Alenia Space (TAS), Faury said he’d be willing to slice a transaction into pieces if that made it more palatable.
