LA PLATA, Maryland — Even SpaceX’s Starlink, which often seems to float over mortal concerns like return on invested capital as it seeks global market share, has had to bend to the weight of inflation now coursing through Nigeria.

The company has announced, with immediate effect, substantial price increases for Starlink hardware and for its standard subscription and the regional roaming offer in Africa’s most populous country.
