TUPPER LAKE, NY — Thales Group said the poor performance of its Thales Alenia Space space-hardware business will correct itself by a restructuring that will move 1,300 jobs to other Thales divisions, the completion of R&D spending on its software-defined telecommunications product and a broad cost-reduction program.
In a July 23 investor call, Thales Chief Executive Patrice Caine sought to persuade investors that the troubles in the space division were limited to the telecom satellite division, which is just one-third of its business . . .
