LAMPOLDSHAUSEN, Germany— Scotland’s SaxaVord and Sutherland spaceports, both with startup orbital-launch providers booked for operations, are moving forward toward inaugural flights late this year or early in 2024 with apparently sufficient funding for the first flights.
Orbex Space, whose founding chief executive recently left the company, which said it would be moving in a new direction, announced it had started construction of its vertical-launch facility at Sutherland Spaceport.
